Mrs. K.S.N. Jyothi Assistant Professor (C), Department of Genetics and Biotechnology. She has done her post graduation in Biochemistry from Osmania University, Hyderabad and Ph.D in Biotechnology from Nagarjuna University, Guntur. She has 14 years of teaching experience and specializes in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She has published papers in various International Journals and has organized and attended various National and International Conferences. She is a recipient of awards like the ‘Jayashree Kannan’ gold medal for securing highest marks in M.Sc Biochemistry and the ‘Shireen Shroff’ rolling shield’ for securing highest marks in English in B.Sc.

Mrs. Syeda Amena Kausar, Assistant Professor(C), Department of Genetics and Biotechnology has done her M.Sc in Biotechnology from Osmania University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Environmental Sciences from Osmania University under the guidance of Dr. K.Shailaja. She is a AP-SET, B.Ed, AP-TET and C-TET qualified teacher and has 10 years of teaching experience. She specializes in Genetics, Environmental Science and Bio statistics. She has guided two M.Sc students for their dissertation and has attended and presented papers at various National and International conferences. She has received the ‘Silver medal for meritorious student’ from Awam Urdu Daily for two consecutive years 2001 and 2002.

Dr. Rupasree Mukhopadhyay is the I/C Head and an Assistant Professor (C), at Department Of Genetics and Biotechnology and has done her M.Sc in Marine Biotechnology from Goa University and has done her Ph.D in Genetics from Osmania University in collaboration with ICRISAT. She has 8 years of teaching experience and specializes in Agricultural Biotechnology. She also deals with allied subjects like recombinant DNA technology, Bioprocess engineering and Molecular Biotechnology. She is a recipient of CSIR JRF and SRF fellowship during her Ph.D. She has also received DBT- Scholarship for M.Sc. Biotechnology, ‘Goa University Prize’ for securing highest marks in M.Sc. Marine Biotechnology, ‘Dr.Mrs. Rajyalakshmi K. Memorial Gold Medal’ for securing first rank in Chemistry, ‘Shireen Shroff Rolling Cup’ for securing highest marks in General English in B.Sc, ‘Mrs. Hameeda Jameel Cash Prize’ for securing first rank in Botany in B.Sc, ‘Mrs. Sundaram Rolling Trophy’ for scoring highest marks in Chemistry in B.Sc, ‘Gregor Mendel Rolling Trophy’ for securing first rank in Genetics in B.Sc ‘Rashtriya Chatravritti Yojana National Scholarship’ in AISSC (CBSE Class X) and various other awards at the school and college level. She has done her M.Sc in Biotechnology from Bangalore University and Ph.D in Genetics from Osmania University. She also holds a ‘Universal Certification’ in Forensic Science and DNA fingerprinting. She has 7 years of teaching experience and specializes in Medical Biotechnology. She also teaches allied subjects like cell biology and Immunology. She was a recipient of LTMT fellowship during her Ph.D and was also awarded the ‘Young Scientist’ award by the KVRSS in the year 2007. She has also won various accolades at school and college level.
