Prof. K.Saraswathamma is the Special Officer, Telangana Mahila Viswavidyalayam and Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Osmania University. She received her Bachelor's Degree (1998) in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University, Master's Degree (2001) in Production Engineering from Osmania University. She is a alumni of the prestigious IIT Delhi from where she completed het Doctorate Degree in Mechanical Engineering in the area of Magnetorheological finishing . She joined in Osmania University as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the year 2001 and became a Professor in the year 2018. Her research interests are in the areas of Micro and Nano Machining, Conventional and Un-conventional Machining, Application of Finite Element Technique, etc. She has published more than 30 papers in peer reviewed international journals in addition to 18 presentations in National and International Conferences. She was Convenor for ICAMM 2016, an International conference, which was jointly organised by Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, UCE, OU and DRDL, Hyderabad. She is currently handling two research projects worth 30 lakhs sponsored by ASL, DRDO. She is the Fellow of Institute of Engineers India. She is an active member of many professional bodies and an Editorial member of various International Journals and reviewer for Journal of Engineering Manufacture published by SAGE , Precision Engineering published by Elsevier, International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing published by Springer, Materials and Manufacturing Processes published by Taylor & Francis, Engineering Research Express, IOP Publishing etc. With more than 22 years of teaching and research experience, she has guided more than 102 ME projects and at present she guiding 8 PhD scholars and 4 ME students in the area of production Engineering. She has held several Administrative Positions in the Osmania University and University College of Engineering, OU. She is the Chairperson, Board of Studies, UCE, OU, Additional Chief Warden for Girls Hostel, Coordinator- QIP, UCE, Department coordinator for PG Admissions, Faculty Advisor etc.,
